There's plenty to be thankful for. I managed to score myself THREE Thanksgivings. There was the one at home with my parents and sister, the one with Boyfriend and his family, and then one in Colorado for him and his roommates. Boyfriend's mother's house lost power while the turkey was roasting. There was a failed attempt at BBQ-ing the 18 lb bird. Sides were microwaved. I felt bad for the kid - he'd staged a turkey fast all month and alas, there was no turkey to break it. When I went out to see him in Colorado at the beginning of the month, we just did it again. We ate in the dining room like adults! The best part about all three? We were together, whomever the we's may be.
I'm currently working on a piece for my high school's career day. They've asked for alumni who can donate their time to come talk to the students about what they do. I'll have 20 minutes and 10 for questions. It feels good to be sitting here typing away; I haven't written much other than general correspondence. I haven't challenged myself much in the way of thinking about things other than will Carrie Mathison make it out of <
