It was a very sad day for me when the handle broke. What was sadder was the TravelPro replacement that I ordered. It is not nearly the same quality as the original bags. On the first trip, the zipper pull broke off, and on the third trip the zipper itself split. Several colleagues have had similar issues with the newer TravelPro bags. <br /><br />If you're looking for a new bag that is similar in toughness to the original TravelPro;s, look at Boyt. I love my suitcase and am just not quite ready to part with it.
